The Significance of DA DAY

DA DAY is one of the most powerful and beloved gatherings in our fellowship. We’ve all seen what can happen at DA DAY — someone attends their first PRG, reconnects with recovery, finds a sponsor, or rediscovers hope. Lives change here. DA DAY is part of our service and gift to the community, a day when recovery ripples outward across the entire NorCal region. Serving on the DA DAY 2025 Joint Planning Committee is not just logistical — it’s spiritual. It deepens your program, builds connection, and helps lead the wider community forward in recovery.

About DA DAY

DA DAY is an area-wide all day event running from 9 am - 4 pm that is historically hosted by Northern California Debtors Anonymous Intergroup for the benefit of DA/BDA members, newcomers and guests living in the Northern California and San Francisco Bay Area. The day includes:

  • Keynote speakers and talks on the Steps and Promises

  • Two breakout rooms with workshops throughout the day

  • Vision Board room for creative recovery

  • PRG (Pressure Relief Group) match-up with multiple time slots

  • Sponsorship match-up

  • Drawing for donated gift baskets

  • Conference-approved literature table

  • Community potluck

  • Fellowship & Sharing

This year, Intergroup is jointly hosting and producing an in-person only DA DAY with the DA Sunday Night Berkeley Experience Strength and Hope Group — a new approach to expand DA DAY’s reach, inspire generosity through service, strengthen meeting connections, and grow the power of face-to-face fellowship.
