Northern California Debtors Anonymous
Referred to Interchangeably as
NorCal DA Intergroup, NorCal DA, NCDA, or Intergroup

Our Vision Statement

NorCal DA Intergroup is a committed group of trusted servants who support all debtors on the path of recovery, serenity, and solvency..

Our Mission Statement

NorCal DA Intergroup serves the NorCal DA community by providing meeting resources including place-based grants to start up face-to-face in-person meetings, hosting community events, creating fellowship opportunities, bridging local and world service, and sharing our DA experience, strength, and hope.

Our Values Statement

NorCal DA Intergroup embodies these values:

  • Service - As debtors helping debtors, service is the foundation of all our actions.

  • Inclusivity - We celebrate the rich, diverse experiences of people of all identities and work together to create accessible and welcoming spaces for anyone with the desire to stop incurring unsecured debt.

  • Integrity - We each walk our recovery path, embrace rigorous honesty, use the tools, work the steps, practice the principles in all our affairs, and support the D.A. community.

  • Collaboration - We work with the NCDA fellowship at all levels – personal, meeting, Intergroup, and World Service – by listening compassionately to our members and collaborating on our visions and actions.

Our Eight Core Activities

  1. Providing a forum for diverse discussion between Intergroup representatives and at-large members to compare notes and share information.

  2. Maintaining an inventory of D.A. literature available for purchase at Intergroup events and monthly Intergroup meetings.

  3. Maintaining an information phone line for people to call to determine when and where events are scheduled.

  4. Maintaining a website with meeting and event information.

  5. Hosting Spring Lights and D.A. Day, two major recovery events open to the entire fellowship.

  6. Hosting a series of shorter workshops during the year.

  7. Acting as a liaison between local area groups and the public media.

  8. Sending a delegate to the D.A. World Service Conference each August

Intergroup membership may include a delegate and an alternate representative from each registered local area D.A. group. All other D.A. members are welcome to join Intergroup as at-large, non-voting members.

Intergroup meets monthly in person and online on the third Saturday from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm. For a period of fifteen minutes after the meeting, D.A. conference-approved literature is available for purchase by literature representatives of local area groups.
